Camp and Reset is operated by SD Technologies. Text alerts are entirely optional — email alerts work without them, and consent to receive texts is never a condition of using Camp and Reset.
This page shows exactly what a user sees when opting in, including the consent wording below. Opt-in happens on the account settings page after signing in, so this page reproduces that step for review.
The opt-in steps
- Create an account at campandreset.com and sign in.
- Open Settings and enter a mobile number in the Mobile number field.
- Tick the consent checkbox. It is unticked by default and the form cannot be submitted without it. This is the exact wording and the exact control:
Shown disabled — this is a copy of the live form for review purposes.
- Confirm the code. We text a 6-digit code to that number. The user must enter it to finish. Until that code is confirmed, the number is not stored as a contact and no alerts are ever sent to it.
The consent timestamp is recorded against the account when the code is confirmed.
What the messages are
A one-time signup code, then a text when a campsite matching a search the user created becomes available. Example:
Camp and Reset: Anastasia State Park - Loop AWNG: Tent Only #095 - Mon Dec 7 - Wed Dec 9 (2 nights). https://reserve.floridastateparks.org/Web/?s=43-2026-12-07#!park/2/4?date=2026-12-07&night=2 Reply STOP to opt out.
Frequency, cost, and opting out
- Message frequency varies, depending on the searches a user creates and on campsite cancellation activity.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for help.
- A user can also remove their number under Settings, which turns off SMS on all of their alerts.
- Mobile numbers and SMS consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing — see our Privacy Policy.
